about us

Xbridge was founded in early 2000 from a vision developed during 1999 by Brad Liebmann. Brad subsequently pulled in other founders Ralph Arnold, Deno Fischer and Jim Nelson. These founding members provided the Company with its initial seed capital of €1 million. Brad, Ralph and Deno created Xbridge's initial commercial divisions, while the company's original technologists moved in early 2000 from Barclays Capital, led by Jim Nelson. During 2000 the company also filed the initial patents that comprise the core of Xbridge's proprietary technology platform.

Shortly after its foundation Xbridge partnered with The Boston Consulting Group, who seconded several employees to the Company in exchange for a share of equity. In late 2000 Prudential plc invested in the Company, making a commitment of £5 million in capital. Prudential and The Boston Consulting Group made a further equity investment in early 2002.

Over the next few years Xbridge grew to become the UK's leading online broker focused on financial services for small businesses.

In June 2008 Brit Insurance acquired the Prudential's share holding. Also in 2008 Brad founded a new company, Bview Limited, where he is Chairman and CEO (see www.bview.co.uk). Brad is also a Non Executive Director of Xbridge.
