Simply Business is a part of Xbridge Ltd, Europes leading provider of business finance and insurance platforms to the banking and insurance industries. Xbridge works with 3 out of the 4 UK High St banks and the 2 of the largest UK insurers, providing infrastructure and online marketing consultancy.
This is a very rare opportunity to help the company develop an entirely new product offering from an early stage its life cycle. Building upon company core competencies, this initiative holds the potential to fundamentally change the way many businesses use the Internet, similar to the way that Ebay and Google previously changed online behaviour.
The role mainly involves:
Requirements review and business-case sanity check
Co-ordination of pre-development project deliverables with internal stakeholders
Ownership of project planning documentation, weekly status reporting and communications
Documentation and tracking of Iteration deliverables
Daily/weekly update meetings with Technical Team Lead and project sponsors
Liaison with other Technical teams such as QA, Systems, Design etc. to ensure smooth roject running and delivery
Supporting, troubleshooting and managing the interface between the business sponsors and technical teams
Coordination of the bug-fixing and Change Request processes
Involvement in the co-ordination and organisation of code releases to QA and Live environments
Working closely with and reporting to the Technical Team Lead.
Requisite Experience
Proven commercial experience coordinating IT Development teams
Commercial client-facing experience
Practical experience of e-commerce environment and exposure to web technologies
Practical exposure to Prince2 or similar industry-standard project management methodology
Practical exposure to Agile project methodologies and processes
Experience of writing formal business communications
Excellent knowledge of MS Project
Practical experience of working within tight commercial deadlines
Good understanding of all aspects of an operational e-commerce business
You will be a driven and focused individual willing to put in what it takes to get results. Strong interpersonal skills are essential to integrate into an excellent working and social environment within a highly focused and professional company. Excellent attention to detail with good verbal and written communication skills. Able to work as part of a team or on your own initiative you will have a pragmatic approach to business requirements. Ability to follow process and instructions.
