Marketing Manager Role Responsibilities
We now seek hire a highly entrepreneurial person who wishes to work in a rapidly-expanding company with aggressive growth plans.
You will develop the vision for making our sites truly customer-centric.
You will be a senior manager within the marketing team, with line management responsibility for a team of two people.
Using best marketing practice, and working with teams across the business, you will create and then execute the roadmap for the continual enhancement of our online service.
In addition, you will manage the day-to-day changes on the site required to keep our site fresh and engaging.
Day-to-day activity
- Develop Xbridge's small business finance websites (Simply Business and Decision Finance) in order to:
- drive up conversion rates on the site
- create compelling brand expression
- increase customer interactivity.
- Manage metrics platform (Omniture) to develop insights and analysis into user behaviour; trial changes based on this analysis in order to drive up on-site conversions.
- Create new sections and pages on the sites - whilst the role is a management role, a hands-on approach is required; experience and willingness to use packages such as Dreamweaver essential.
- Ensure integrated creative approach for marketing campaigns to customer base working with our in-house design resource - develop email creatives; direct mail creatives and website landing pages for marketing campaigns.
- Define customer task sets based on segmentation work carried out within the Marketing team.
- Create the roadmap of development activities across both sites.
- Establish strong collaborative working relationships with business development teams and the Technology teams to ensure a consistent and joined-up approach across all teams
- Write specifications and manage other people's specification writing to define changes to the sites.
- Line management of the SEO Manager.
- Report to Head of Marketing.
The type of person this role will suit
- Product development manager, site manager, possibly a content manager, with up to 5 years experience.
- Must have an undergraduate degree, and possibly also a CIM qualification.
- Experience getting their hands dirty in a mid-sized website operation - has built pages etc themselves - as well as developed genuine marketing strategies for improving the customer experience, conversion rates etc.
- Highly entrepreneurial; hungry to deliver real commercial growth.
- Understands the importance of ROI and measurement as a means of driving strategy and day-to-day activity.
